  1. Sorry State of "Today".

Sorry, you'll have to explain how the reporting of ACTUAL unprecedented weather and climate related events where billions of people are affected is NOT important news. Or how the broadcasting of how those events are and will affect our economy, safety, future policy, food supply, etc. Is some...
  2. Sorry State of "Today".

Turning our country into a bunch of Know Nothings 2.0 who through their own self imposed denial of what is being done in their name is exactly what the demagogues in charge want. Bombard and overwhelm us with media overload until we cry uncle and turn inward so thry can do their dirty deeds...
  3. Sorry State of "Today".

I'm not sure who described Clinton as leaning too far to the left, but it could only be people so indoctrinated and uninformed that their knowledge of the political spectrum is incomplete to put it very politely. The knock on her from many on the left was that she was too corporate and centrist...
  4. Sorry State of "Today".

This is a lengthy and very detailed report that must be downloaded to read, but it is quite revealing in its conclusions. Of course, the rah! rah! U.S.A. Number 1 and xenophobe crowd will dismiss it, but I think it touches on many of the frustrations you and others in this thread have described...
  5. Need Help Is coro-platics sign profitable?

How do they twist, distort and thumb their noses at long held rules and regulations? They are called lobbyists as well as making sure they manipulate our electoral process thanks to the absurdly ironic and Orwellian "Citizens United" help install political leaders who will not enforce those long...

  9. Cut vinyl match to CMYK

Oracal has this handy conversion chart that gets you close, but with every printer and profile creating slightly different results, we only consider these a starting point.
  10. machine to cut wooden letters

Not knowing the scale of operation, dedication to handcrafted signs, budget, etc. Was the only reason I suggested such a tool. There was a time when a good bandsaw and someone who knew how to use it could produce a lot of perfectly acceptable letters out of sheets of dense insulation foam...
  11. Wood signage

You need to REALLY, REALLY, REALLY seal the edges. I've never been impressed with that stuff in the slightest.
  12. As if taxes and keeping up with the code isn't complicated enough

I think they mirror the culture at large, just like actors, pro athletes, etc. Humans do a lot of very similar things. Ours have been done for nearly a month and the returns are just sitting on the desk waiting for checks for the IRA's and IRS to be made out and sent in.

  14. McMaster-Carr - this one might be a record

How often has ANY supplier gotten product to you in less than 24 hours? These companies have invested heavily in their fulfillment and shipping processes and it shows.
  15. Healthcare

I never mentioned your name. You must have a guilty conscience. Look through these posts. I've not engaged you once until now, but you are the one who just can't leave me out of your universe. Your poison duct wouldn't get filled every morning if you didn't have a target to count on being...
  16. machine to cut wooden letters

If you want to keep it real simple, real cheap and more hands on, these things used to be a staple in practically every commercial sign shop. https://www.ameriken.com/products/die-shop-equipment/die-shop-equipment-cutawl-saws/
  17. Healthcare

Learn how to read. The thread isn't the point. It's a valid discussion to have, just not in this unmoderated thread category. You know damn well the distinction and you know exactly the point I just made. You are as big of a bomb thrower and lily gilder as anyone here and then you try to sit...
  18. Healthcare

It is disgusting and highly hypocritical that just because these type of threads keep getting created by the same person in the one thread category not monitored for people's language, insults, unprofessional behavior, insults, etc. that some who as recently as a few weeks ago had their...
  19. McMaster-Carr - this one might be a record

With GEMINI charging an arm and a leg for threaded studs and sending only enough to cover each job now, I dug around and went to an old hardware source, McMaster-Carr for a dimensional letter project we need about 1,500 studs for. I ordered 2,000 1"x 3/16" threaded zinc coated studs last night...
  20. Need Help Help installing wall graphics

What a mess. It really looks like they rolled them liner out AND the wall surface is repelling against the vinyl. What kind of experience level is your friend at? I'm not sure there is much to be done to make the vinyl lose its memory of being both rolled wrong and installed improperly.
