  1. Tech-Challenged Boss Reconciling Online Purchases

Fill out an expense report, itemize it, give it a G/L code, staple the receipt to it and turn it in. That's what I had to do in any job that I worked at. In defense of your boss, it's a PITA going back trying to figure out employee purchases and he probably has better things to do then...

Binki, The weather is very triggering but don't fret, winter is around the corner so you snowflakes will be safe from melting again real soon. The cool thing is, your TV has a channel and power button, feel free to use it. Some of us like to hear what's going on though, especially the people...
  4. Advice for shop expansion

The extra door for crossflow, forgot that one. It's night and day difference in the heat. Signed Out, we have an insulated dividing curtain with a walk through strip curtain door in our shop and run A/C in half of it. Keeps the area clean and we can open it up if we need the space. I can DM...

A drive through bay would be nice even if you couldnt drive all the way out. Might be a good spot for your receiving if they could back a their trucks up to the door to load/unload rather than carrying everything through the lobby.

and then you have a problem with the fire marshall. You can't win. We have no customer signs and come insurance inspection time, put up plastic chains for the dog and pony show. So far so good. A few years ago, our rooster followed the inspector around and wouldn't stop crowing. A bit...
  7. Advice for shop expansion

I'd get a trowel finished floor and seal it or just leave it as is. We have an outbuilding with broom finished concrete and it's about impossible to keep clean. Inside our shop is smooth and can run a floor machine over it, dry mop or wet mop it. The new rollup doors should be easy to open if...
  8. Advice for shop expansion

My 2 cents. I'd make both doors 14 wide. For floors I'd probably go with epoxy and a little non-skid. Polished and straight epoxy is slick and you don't want an employee or customer to fall on any water that is tracked in. Floor drains are nice if they are connected to the sewer and the city...

  12. Large graphics single person install

Once it's taped across the top roll it up, set it on the roof and start peeling the backer about 1-2" end to end, let it roll down and then you can pull the backer without wrinkling and fighting with it.
  13. Large graphics single person install

I trim the top straight, roll it up, put my big boy pants on, unroll 6-8" and tape it to the top. Unroll it while taping every few feet and then go back over with a continuous piece of tape. You all act like you can't walk a little when you put on stickers. 6' is not wide.

    Then it stretches easier.

You can only work 4" wide at a time with a squeegee, width won't matter. Plus the bottom is a good place to chase all your mistakes to, like when you run paint, just keep it going till it makes an icicle that you can cut off when it's dry. Stacey I tried the big squeegee on a flat wrap once...

Like this Gino. Taped all the way across the top
  17. Large graphics single person install

The folded backer holds it off the trailer. It's a gerbil Gino and I am saving it for later.
  18. Large graphics single person install

I go top to bottom, gravity is your second set of hands and there is no worry about drooping in the middle. Tape the whole top, pull the backer down about 1/4-1/2 way then work your way down using your hand to slightly pull it down and hold it tight as you work across Like burtons picture but...

I'm assuming that they want the clear otherwise you'd just print the gradient on white vinyl rather than flood white The spot would be easy, copy and paste the green halftone
