The actual head surface is the only place you’d want to avoid. Everything else will need cleaned regularly. (If you run it every day then daily, I’d say at least once a week).
I have never had any problems doing it the vector doctors way.
Open ai, place PDF (with “linked” box checked). Flatten it with “convert text to outlines” checked and we’re good to go.
If the customer needs any content changed etc rather than just needing to take parts of a logo to use, then...
I still agree with Gino, even a shop 5 mins down the road might have a different way of describing different things. Hell, we have a guy in our shop that calls vehicle lettering a wrap. They know what they mean..
So it’s essential that you and your install guy, or your boss, make a standard as...
How’s the maintenance on it? Canon said it should only need it about once a month. Also, does it print right away in the mornings or is it like all the other Océ machines that take about 15 mins to heat up?
How long had it been idle/were the lines flushed etc before you bought it? There’s a good chance if it’s not been used by the previous owners, it’ll probably have been the head and they’ve decided it’s not worth the money to fix.
I take it you’ve done all the generic stuff like “fill up ink”...
Hi guys, it would appear we’re set on getting a Canon/Océ Colorado.
Basically just looking for any do’s and dont’s for it before install. So any end users input would be great.
In before “don’t let them install” lol - I know the reviews thus far haven’t been great on it but it’s not my...
Via a quick google, the average UK worker pays about £1800 (approx 2350$) on national insurance per year. No extra charges on top of that, no matter how sick you get! Even the pills/prescriptions are free.
We do pay for dental but it’s nothing compared to what you guys pay. £60 for root canal...
We’re currently dealing similar customer. Freshly painted walls and he doesn’t appear to want to put his heating on EVER. Nothing we’ve tried will stick for more than a week (just small test strips).
Basically, the customer wants them done on low tack vinyl so they can be removed easily, but...
The NHS in the UK gets a lot of hate but would 100% prefer it over what you guys have over there. (Granted it’s not perfect, but it works).
Massive premiums and then your insurance only wants to pay 10% anyway.
My contributions come off before I get my pay and I barely notice them.
Getting...
If it’s just as simple as that. Just write out all the reasons you’ve advised against it, make sure that they’re happy that once it’s up there’s no warranty and get them to sign it. No need for pages upon pages of t’s and c’s
If it seems too good to be true, then there’s a good chance it’s probably too good to be true. If you do take the risk, be sure to pay via a route that has some sort of protection so you’d eventually get your money back.
I have a mimaki but it sounds like the problems I encountered years ago sound similar. There’s 3/4 things I need to do to make sure it cuts ok.
1, as others have stated, make sure the media is inside the two pinch rollers on the edge of the media. (As per my mimaki, it has 1-6 so the media...
Most of my scraps just get put in the bucket. We have one guy that keeps EVERYTHING and I’ve never seen him use any of it. Probably had most of them for years. Just looks messy. Someone’s basically paying you to take your trash away, who cares what they do with it?
Looks more like you’re just getting rid of the competition. Can’t hurt. How do you go from “not a gold mine” to making billions? Keep me updated on that one please!
