  1. Waste Disposal

I guess I wish I had that little. I have been filling a 16 gallon drum in less than a year. The feds might start snooping if I start purchasing that. They might think I've figured out how to make something they can tax me more for.
  2. Waste Disposal

I am wondering how everybody else is disposing of waste ink and various supplies from their shop. I have 2 solvents, 2 latex, 1 aqueous and 1 uv machine. Yes, all the latex goes back to HP on the recycle program. I am currently working with Safety Kleen for the other machines, but would like...
  3. Can the L26500 print on 63 inch media?

If you figure out how to use 63" media on that machine, I would like to know. Have tried it without the locking hubs, but it walked all over the place. Good luck. Grimco now has a 60" that works well on the machine and fits perfectly. It's their new Forward Banner.
  4. RTAPE Large Engine Turn Gold

Thank you for the feed back. Grimco was depleted from stock. I was informed from our local Coburn rep that they only went to 24". RTape did have 2 rolls and Grimco has one of them headed my way.
  5. Proper Preflight Method

There is a big industry push to use .pdfs at the moment. I would check with my RIP supplier and see what they suggest. The newest versions or RIP's are using the Adobe PDF rip engine.

Does anybody have a 48" x 50 yard roll of RTape Large Engine Turn Gold For Sale?
  7. Retractable banner stands and material

We like the Magic Pos Pro 200+ here. Prints on about every printer in the shop. No issues with edge curl. Our iPF9000 loves it.
  8. Runninh Thrive 642

Onyx will sell a print only key. I have a RIP station that sends jobs to 6 printers. All printers have their own computer. You will print forward from the main RIP to the designated print station. I can RIP 3 jobs at once. With it forwarding jobs and not holding the job on the main machine...
  9. Runninh Thrive 642

Yes, just a basic machine for each printer. Some bare bones unit that doesn't actually do the processing. All it will do is hold the job until you tell it to print. I have 3 machines set up that way at the moment. 2 HP9000s and 1 L26500. Can't rotate the banner for the L26500, but we...
  10. Runninh Thrive 642

Have you thought about investing a small sum in a print forwarding machine for each your L260's? My RIP station does just that, RIP. I send jobs to all the printers in the shop that have their own dummy station until I tell them to print. Makes my life easier.
  11. L25500 Condensation on Printheads

Just had a similar code on a L26500. HP replaced the head. Our room is around 40% humidity and 70 - 75 in temperature. We were advised to extend our sleep mode wait time to 120 minutes.
  12. Replacing LX850

We have a LX800 here running the 600 series ink set. Have had panel matching issues from the day we fired it up. We have written custom profiles and played with various temperature settings and have arrived at a happy medium. If a panel gets botched during install a day or 2 later, we see a...

My vote would be Seiko. M or H2 series.
  15. mactac bubble free frosted

If possible we would set the inside heat a warm as they would let us. Then do a 2 person apply with a helper on the inside bringing the glass up to temperature slowly. The idea is not to give the glass the shock to break it. We used a heat gun from the inside to assist in warming the glass...
  16. Need your opinion!!!!

We have a FB700 due in on 12/09. Went to a HP seminar in Alpharetta, GA. The demo went well. A lot of options can be done with that machine. Ours is coming in the white and the roll option.
  17. HP L26500 & 3M IJ480 CV3 colour fading

We don't have issues with the IJ180cv3-10, There are some issues around complex bumper corners where we have worker with our installers and developed work arounds. If you are getting you L26500 to print on 480, you are doing better than us. We have substantial colour shift just printing on the...
  18. mactac bubble free frosted

We have installed it on outside doors and windows. The temperature was a bit higher though. Have you attempted to heat the glass to about 60 - 70°F? Our installs were in the spring/summer.
  19. Latex Printing on Fabrics

Very nice work. Did you have any issues with the sewing machine scratching the ink as it went through the feet? We're running a LX800 and have had that issue with most fabrics except a Berger product.
  20. Hello everyone, Views on Canon iPF8100?

We have an iPF9000 here and really like it. The print quality is phenomenal. I would try to acquire some sample medias to test before I went with any specific media. Also, if you haven't purchased the machine, see if they will let you take the printer for a test drive. If you have some print...
