Maybe a good idea?
Are the truck metal? can you stick a magnet to it? Maybe cut the stencil out of magnet so it stays in place easily without a bunch of taping?
If trucks arent magnetic than no go - but worth a shot.
Doesn't hurt to hear and try it. On that note - our material manufacturer is actually changing their process to include a step where the material is treated for adhesion. They sent us a sample roll and in preliminary testing looks better (got it in yesterday). We have also dialed back on the ink...
Just reached out to Jim Case. Great to catch up with him. Hope to catch you sometime. I have a feeling that your team without the "original hindrances" and we will leave it at that - will go far!

Got word we may have been victim of a bad batch of 96 series - holding my breath we can get new ones from a different batch and that will solve things until we can get on a steady Advantage ink.
We have been using the 96 series for about 5-6 months, we tried the 55 series but it was so hard that it was brittle and the edges cracked during cutting.
We have been ok with the 96 but over the last month or so we started having the chipping issues with any dark color on the 96 series?? When...
Been great for me and reason for mimaki..
My experience has been great and I have had issues that they were able to resolve and it wasnt their issue... From sales staff to warehouse staff to ATS they were all on point. As well, I would dig deeper into why they no longer carry Mimaki, believe me...
Funny that after 2.5 years on the machine we have our first job that is simply cutting a shape. We always print graphics with registration marks and cut that way but this job is just cutting a shape out of out magnet sheets. What is the correct way to set that file up and how do I do it.
We use...
Actively looking for a FC2250-18VC. Have one and want to add another but don't want to spend on a brand new one. Preferably on the East Coast.
Please send me a message if you have one or a lead on one.
Thank you in advance!
from the nozzle test it looks like some magenta and black nozzles are misdirected, that could cause those lines. Its not alot but I have had a single blocked nozzle do that.
Sounds cool! We just need for the cut lines as many of the cut lines from our customers or from our intricate cut paths have so many set points and eliminating the unnecc. ones really speeds up on the cutter.
We run multiples, so for instance a sheet of 200 ambulance magnets will take 18...
It has been awhile since anyone posted here, but we use astutegraphics to clean up cutlines. It eliminates all the unnecessary points, which speeds up cutting.... the specific plug-in is called VectorScribe
That actually does make a little sense. That was why I kept asking why Gen4 was different. This was the first explanation.
Went to test it out on the Gen4 and it seems the fixed dot printed smoother than variable. Is there a fixed dot profile on the Gen5?
Thank you
One suggestion may have helped
The person who printed these from this post had a slightly better result. Still had the visible grainyness but not as bad. Seems like on a gradient if you bump it up to .5x it helps a drop?
Dont think this is a long term solution but it might help us get going a...
