  1. Any computer gurus out there?

I would try taking the CMOS battery out and re-insert it. That may be an easy fix before switching jumpers, etc. Def. sounds like a BIOS or motherboard issue and not other hardware / software as it isn't even getting to that stage. Keep us updated.
  2. L26500 & Error code 79:04

Had my printer for a week now and I've gotten 79:04 errors multiple times a day consistently. Anyone have any insight, remedies, etc. ?? I'm going to call HP today, but seems like there are some bugs with the L26500 firmware (according to my Grimco-hired tech) - Thanks
  3. L26500 Carriage Rail Oiling

Nate - Not worried about maintenance, just worried that after 4 days of ownership it's telling me to oil rails. I had a L25500 at last shop and it was a few months of everyday use before I had to oil rails. I think Bill is right though, I'm pretty sure the tech didn't oil it when he set it up...
  4. L26500 Waves

I've had that on my L25500 and L26500. Cheap banner material can't handle the heat from Latex. You need to use Ultraflex banner material or something better. That material will prob. print just fine on a solvent printer though.
  5. melted cheese from sandwich.

I'm more concerned with the type of cheese your using.... Way too glossy for human consumption.

  7. L26500 Carriage Rail Oiling

Just wanted to comment. I just got my 26500 on Monday and I've run maybe 50sq. ft. through it and I walked into it telling me I need to lube the rails already. That's 4 days of having it (about an hour of actually running it). I'm a little worried.....
  8. Windows 8?

Windows 8 is like putting your iPhone OS on a Mac. It's not for business. Actually, it is just Win 7, but for people with ADD. It sucks, I end up using keyboard shortcuts for everything in it because the start page is something out of a bad Andy Warhol dream. I would definitely go with Win...

    Thanks team America!
  10. Best Vehicle Templates

What brand/software would you you recommend for vehicle templates? Need passenger vehicles, box trucks, semis, etc. I've used "Pro Vehicle Outlines" and they seem pretty good, but I work @ a custom fabrication company now and we get requests all across the board. Thanks, Joe
  11. gray looks pinkish

Inkjet & solvent inks are the real culprit though. It's just the properties in the ink. Bought a latex printer and have gotten much better results than my solvent, but it's never really perfect with inkjet. Fix 1 - Adjust color values and try to remove magenta if possible. Fix 2 - Print...
  12. print quality issue

I got that type of pattern on cheap banner material on my latex printer. The media couldn't handle the heat that the latex printer was dishing out. Sounds heat related / cheap or incompatible media maybe?
  13. File Server

I had a Drobo NAS at my last shop. It was super easy and basically took care of itself. Plus you can mix and match almost any hard drives you have. If a hard drive failed you would simply slide out the old one and pop in a new one. It would automatically rebuild itself. I think DROBO is...
  14. A Job Board that works for me

We threw our job board away and went to google calendar. Always in real-time and accessible from anywhere.
  15. Which eco solvent is best for an office environment?

None. Go latex. I think my HP 9000's have been eating holes in my brain for years now.
  16. Wrap shop floors?

I want to put floor graphics on my entire shop floor (about 20x30'). No heavy equip rolling over other than laminator and my desk chair :). (I am going to wrap the room from floor to ceiling with graphics so we can show our capabilities to customers and I want to work in outer space or the...
  17. Shrinkage

You should use calendared lam w/ cal vinyl. Cast lam w/ cast vinyl Ij35 w/ Oracal 200 instead. At least it will shrink together. :)
  18. Concrete Wall Vinyl

Arlon DPF 8000 w/ Arlon 3220 lam. Careful... it will rip every arm hair off and prob. some skin. :)
  19. 3M IJ10 Series.... Your Opinion

Agreed, IJ10 sucks. Sucks on latex & solvent.
  20. Cutter not reading registration marks with signgold

Try turning out the lights in the room. Seriously. :)
