  1. Logo Critique

Why not communicate that you make "Signs", not big Gs?
  2. Logo Critique

Why not try something completely different?
  3. Thoughts & Suggestions on Logo...

    - Font for T.C. is ok. - None of the icons are doing it for me. - I wouldn't use a script, it's to casual or "signy" for them; maybe use a lighter face of the one you've used for the title.
  4. Logo Critique

I'd rate it a 1 out of 10. Can you explain the reason you made the G so big. With logos, things are done for a reason.
  5. Price of gasoline, petroleum.. etc.

Best decision ever. I remember before I started my own business (19 years ago) I used to ride the 25 km to work most days, and then do a 70 km alternate route on the way home. Now my commute is 10 steps to my shop, and therefore have a mere 80,000 km (50,000 miles) on my 10 yr old truck which...
  6. Test Print means what?

Thing is, this fine banding is occurring on photos too, with no spot color.
  7. Test Print means what?

    Hmmm, ok, I'll look further.
  8. Test Print means what?

    Nope.
  9. Test Print means what?

I think you meant "worse". :Big Laugh
  10. Test Print means what?

If it is indeed a small piece of lint, wouldn't it need to be stuck on the head and not the wiper in order to be causing this?
  11. Test Print means what?

Yes, it was a RVW color. When I do a test print with some rectangles filled with pure C, M , Y or K, it doesn't happen; it looks perfect, but when examined with a magnifying glass, the lines are there ever so slightly.
  12. Test Print means what?

How does one get into service mode? Never had a head strike. Don't know, but the machine is only 14 months old and has not seen heavy use. Having said that, I've never let it sit for more than a few days without doing at least a small print.
  13. Test Print means what?

As already stated, this occurs on various vinyls. This is a possibility. I noticed that ever since I put a polypropylene flooring tile down in the shop (over the concrete), I get a little finger zap every time I touch the printer controls, stereo or metal storage cabinet. But, this fine...
  14. Test Print means what?

Forgot to mention: I replaced the wipers about a month ago.
  15. Test Print means what?

So, if my test print shows all nozzles firing, what would this wet, gentle wipe with a swab actually be doing to remedy the problem? It seems like it's shooting in the dark unless one knows precisely what it's solving/fixing/doing to "what" abnormality or problem on the head surface.
  16. Test Print means what?

All of those settings are bang-on.
  17. Test Print means what?

Thanks for the replies. I think I will wait until my Rep comes by within the next couple weeks. He will try a few other things I'm sure, and get into the service level that is only available to techs. In the mean time he's suggested that I try the old trick of soaking a lint-free piece of...
  18. Test Print means what?

Apparently that is just what one is not supposed to do:
  19. Test Print means what?

It's been just over a year of course.
  20. Test Print means what?

Yes, several since this started. Would it be a good idea to gently daub a cleaner-soaked sponge cleaner stick thingy against the heads? I know that we're not supposed to drag a cleaning stick across the heads, but the manual does approve of a gentle daub if needed.
