Robert @ signagespecialist.com informed me that the problem is with the new Mutoh ink causing the capping station pads to bloat.
And you don't need to replace your dampers, just clean them out with a syringe.
They were really easy to talk to and appear to have cheaper prices then CMYKparts...
Well it's definitely cross contamination... I put a flash light on the capping station and the yellow is turning green on one side... And the yellow damper looks pretty dark. -_-
How do you keep the pads on the capping station from swelling? Should I replace it again now? It's brand new...
Alright performed a nozzle check on the Falcon diagnostics... Can't upload the photo because I can't find the cord for the camera. Lol
Here's how the colors look:
Lm = Pink
M = Magenta
Lc = Baby Blue
C = True Blue
Y = Orange
K = Black w/ some horizontal white lines
How old are your print heads/dampers/capping station... Have you soaked the heads before?
Sure sounded like the encoder strip in the beginning but if it's only two colors might just be a print head.
I have color issues again on the Falcon with Flexi 7.
I printed a perfect sample of every color last week when I installed Flexi on a new computer and now this week it seems like every color that needs yellow is coming out as magenta. I tried switching back to the old computer thinking it might...
We don't have public restrooms either but if someone really needed to go we would probably let them...
Carpet in a sign shop? Glad we don't have carpet for a few different reasons.
#1: I've heard about a lot of problems with static cling on material.
#2: I would really hate for any electronics...
Reseated all data ribbons and don't see any ink on the boards... Still have the problem in the same spot and a new photo for you.
Any other suggestions? Maybe a board needs replacing? :(
I know this thread is super old but google still pulls it up so I'll add some info... We have the same plotter and are trying to order the same scope.
I called Midwest Sign and they told me that they would order it from Gerber as soon as I ordered it from them.
EDIT: You can't order after...
The heads are printing every color in stripes of dots on my 4 foot wide material, about 3 feet to the left (pretty much the middle of the machine).
Since the job I'm doing today is only 3 feet high it won't be an issue but I'd like to get this problem resolved. Read a lot from other threads...
Sorry don't have too much content for you. Just wanted to take a break in front of the fan with the sound of a swamp cooler chugging along in the background to say F%$#@ IT'S HOT.
Hope the rest of you are having a nicer day. :P

Can someone who has adjusted their levels for blue in Flexi post what they are to save me some time fiddling with it? Would be much appreciated. Thanks :)
Seems like every color except for blue is coming out fine. The blue is coming out really dark when I print jobs from FlexiSign... However I made the production manager print a blue sample chart and all of those blues look great...
Maybe something wrong with my ICC profile? Already replaced ink...
