It's not directly your fault, but you inserted yourself by providing directions on removal. The dealer obviously told the school that you provided the removal instructions. Next time, tell him it's a two step removal, 1) write you a check and 2) get of the way so you can work.
Thank you all for your replies. I was able to get the ink to all of the dampers by cleaning and charging. However, neither of the yellow channels are firing. There's ink in the lines and the other colors are firing just fine. I don't have a repair manual, what are the proper procedures for...
Hello everyone,
I just purchased a Mutoh 1204 and I'm told I need a RIP to be able to print to it. I see on Craigslist the latest version of Flexisign but I suspect it's either a demo or cracked and I'm not in to stealing the products of others.
I'll only be printing part time to begin, so...
I just picked-up a used 1204. There's no ink in the lines and I suspect none in the dampers. What is the most efficient way to get ink to the head? Would I take each damper out and use a syringe or is there a cleaning/charging utility in the menu that would be more simple and less chance of...
Contact the member Sightline - This is what he said in late December: As far as use on a Mutoh, I cannot comment since I do not have a Mutoh. I do not know what those use regarding the head rank numbers. Aside from that the manifold is not sealed to a DX5 head in any special way. Just unscrew...
Your question has been answered in this very thread; furthermore, I've answered this question for you and provided quotes from some of the most respected members on this board who have said it's the same head. Is there someone specific that you want to answer the question? If you perform a...
Very interesting comments. I suspect some would say charging for estimates is also a way to cut out the less than committed customers. After all, if they haven't narrowed down their search prior to calling around, paying a number of companies for estimates will certainly help them do so rather...
Welcome to life after the great recession. After the past decade of such a horrible economy, people/businesses have been conditioned to try and save every penny possible.
More importantly - and damaging - I suspect there has been a paradigm shift in the fundamental thinking of the customer...
I concur with SC. The only slight difference of opinion I would have is running it "at the very least a couple of hours a day". It is true these machines do best when run, but if you print a test pattern daily and perform other quick maintenance, it is still financially feasible to have a...
You can get it in small amounts on Ebay. However, you would need to buy it in larger quantities for it to be financially feasible. You would most likely get it from an industrial or commercial paint or chemical supply company (like Sherwin Williams).
Not much to work out since artbot was kind enough to do all the work for us: butyl carbitol mixed with acetone (4 parts BC two parts acetone)
The search begins tomorrow to see if any of the local Sherwin Williams stores can get it. If not, I'll contact a cabinet builder friend I have for a...
I was pretty excited when I was able to pull air through the head so well. Maybe the previous owner was telling the truth about it being a brand new head that he could never get ink through. Even if it is not brand new, I suspect it is almost brand new.
I think I'm going to wait for the new...
