  1. Carnage on the highway, tractor trailer overturns - Not for the faint of heart!

GPS. You used to plan out your routes now you just do whatever your phone tells you. We refused a load on friday because the driver couldn't drive the machine off of his truck. Guy wanted me to take a 60' boom lift off of his flatbed on 4' aluminum ramps in the rain. I'm not going to be...
  2. News Serif Affinity "Sale"

Honestly inkscape is a good option if you are looking for low cost or free vector software. The autotrace works very well too, much better than corel.

Looks like Amazon won't need to stop at tex's house now
  4. Periodic Table of Typography

I like to see arial at the top tied for first place with helvetica.
  5. Right/Wrong Ethical/Unethical

I agree. I only said that because you can really use whatever you want without consequence. Sometimes putting it in writing really complicates things. A phone call is a professional to make it a you know and I know thing without opening a can of worms.

How many houses have PVC and CPVC for their water supply lines? How many water mains are the same? You drink that right? Why are people worried about PVC in a sticker?
  7. Right/Wrong Ethical/Unethical

For any regular customer there is no question that I'd substitute it with an equal product. The federal government, I dunno. It wouldn't hurt to verbally ask someone.
  8. Right/Wrong Ethical/Unethical

    It was a little funny

Must be leaded yellow cuz unleaded is plss in a can. They're after white now because of titanium dioxide. I'll die from bad habits before pvc and solvents get me.
  11. Need Help Wrap removal on an aluminum tank truck

Plus, you can see what appears to be rust bleed on the back half which will need to be blasted and painted. We also do that. I have no problem telling them to go back to you for lettering if that is the part that you want to do.
  12. Need Help Wrap removal on an aluminum tank truck

Yes and Yes. All of the adhesive will be on it still. It isn't easy but I have a shop full of laborers, a wash rack and am in Fort Pierce. The detail guy we use isnt cheap but he will rubber wheel the hard parts off then spend 3 days cleaning it up. I think that tank is gonna look like...

I'm pretty left on environmental issues but this whole green eco-friendly shlt is nothing but a marketing gimmick for the feel good people. My post #9 was actually serious, I think they used to call it snarky here? Your stickers and their efforts aren't changing anything, why waste the time...

I'll eat a damn sticker, UV, Eco Solvent.... maybe even latex for the right price. It's not gonna kill you.
  15. Environmentally Friendly Print Media, with Adhesive... Please Recommend!

Simply say, everything we use is environmentally friendly. The box is recyclable, that should be good enough.
  16. Need Help Wrap removal on an aluminum tank truck

Send them over to fort pierce, we can get it off with hot water and have a detailer that would likely do the rest
  17. panel size

They look very gaudy. If I wanted to see crap like that everywhere I went, I'd move to vegas. I also question their effectiveness.
  18. Post and Panel

For something like a 4over aluminum frame, I prefer to assemble it in the shop if it isn't too big. Wood post with a larger face like a 4x8 real estate sign, I do it like Gino, lay posts on the ground, screw in the face, tilt it into the hole and dry set with concrete and tamp bar.

I miss those signs. EMDs are ugly and hard to read.
