  1. BannerPro Banner Hemming & Pocket System???

Interesting. We're in Toledo, OH. Where is DG located? Boss is my nickname, DG is my initials. I don't like being called a shill.
  2. Ahhh ink may be keeping me from buying

It's not the smell that kills you. Ventilate or get a scrubber.
  3. Anyone used the banner hemmer

It only has heat on the bottom jaw and was not built to fabricate banner material. It's a bag sealer (thin plastic only). Don't be fooled by the difference. The BannerPRO was built for use with banner material, it is a totally different device. Our BannerPRO works GREAT!
  4. parts warranty

Actually we run ink from InkTec in our Roland's with great success. Better color, density and durability. No problems.
  5. CutContour problems with onyx

You might try deleting and recreating the "CutContour" spot color. Also check the pt. size specified for the line to make sure it is set correctly. Good luck.
  6. Anyone used the banner hemmer

We bought a BannerPro and it works GREAT. It is not a bag sealer. It has a heavy duty transformer, dual heat and special heat elements. Hems banners (we've done 4 x 8, 4.5 x 12), makes pole pockets and pocket signs without any consumable expense. The pocket signs sell well as an alternative to...
  7. It's the sign of the times... another non-pay question...

If you are a licensed contractor you should be able to file a lien to secure your interest. The other option would be to develop a relationship with a collection agency (we use one) and turn the account over for collections usually just the threat of collections will cause payment. But I like...
  8. Ink dropouts creating banding issues

Yes. New damper with a larger screen which increase ink flow.
  9. Ahhh ink may be keeping me from buying

Buy an air scrubber or put a fan in the window. If you read the MSDS sheet you need to have 12 air exchanges per hour.
  10. Help with Dried heads on Sp300v

We use the FDC banner material. Work great.

Try using the Roland GCVP profile.
  12. Roland VP-540i or Mimaki CJV-130

    Go with the Roland
  13. How to connect SC-540 to Versaworks?

Contact your local dealer and order a copy of Versaworks with a security dongel. It works great.
  14. XC-540 Print Head Light Cyan not printing

Your heads are a mess. It looks like to have a damper or cap-top problem. I would suggest first replacing the cap-tops (our dealer installed cap-tops from Supply55 which are lower cost and work great). After the cap-tops are replaced try a powerful clean. If this doesn't solve the problem...
  15. SP300 Drain tube plugged

Did Roland upgrade your pumps? If not it could be a pump problem. Check with your dealer and if the pumps have not been upgraded ask to have them upgraded no charge. Good luck.
  16. parts warranty

The Versacamm comes with a 2 year warranty including heads. If the unit is still under warranty they will cover the heads. You may want to buy an extended warranty before requesting service which would then also cover the heads. The extended warranty can be purchased from your dealer or direct...
  17. Ink dropouts creating banding issues

First I would replace the cap-tops, even if they look good they may not be sealing properly. Next, replace the dampers with a new version with a large screen (our dealer replaced our dampers with dampers from Supply55 and it fixed a similar problem) which will increase the ink flow. Good luck.
  18. Looking into a Colorspan or Vutek.

Go with Vutek. HP is moving away from UV to Latex.
  19. SP-300 profiles

We like the MCVP profile for use with the Stahls' and Specialty Materials digital print products. Try the MCVP or LBV profiles for banner material both work great.
