Well, it looks fine printed. I personally hate having a vector file that looks the way it does but it will have to do. Again thank you for all of your help and suggestions.
I had tried Flatten Transparancy, but all I would get was a white box were the blur was. But being that you suggested it again I thought I would take another crack at it.
Low and behold if I select the group instead of just the blur and Flatten Transparancy, I get the blur with the white box...

I'm trying to print a Illustrator file that has a blur in it. The problem is that when I print it out on a Mimaki, I am getting a "box around the blur that darkens the print in that area only. It looks fine on screen in illustrator, I do notice the box shows up in a preview of the print...
We are having trouble setting up a new 64 bit computer with the appropriate drivers for a Mimaki CG-130 Plotter. The Mimaki websites driver does not seem to work. Anyone know of a solution?
Sorry I should have clarified what I'm trying to do. I want to eliminate the step of having to bring a PS file into Illustrator just to have to put a cut contour on it. If I could make a cut contour in Photoshop, then I would be ready to print and would not have to go though the whole rigmarole.
I am wondering if anyone knows of a way to make a Cut Contour in Photoshop. I've tried making a clipping mask and naming it CutContour but that did not seem to work. I thought I'd ask all you smart people before dedicating any more time to this problem. Thanks.
