We're potentially replacing our HP L360's with the newer 560's. Has anyone that has upgraded notice an improvement in color stability? We're hoping our long history of color match issues on reprinting adjacent panels may be solved one of these years. HP says this is improved. Is that true?
Anyone got a trick for print/cut on reflective? We have a 160S2T and Onyx12. Tracking is always off. Has a lot of trouble finding registration marks. Our non reflective cuts perfectly.
We have a decent size concrete block lettering project where painted lettering is required. Anyone suggest a quality plotter cut mask that will conform to cinder blocks well and not bleed out? The other issue: These blocks are small, like 8" square with deep, square, mortar returns. Looks like...
When we print on 60" 3MIJ180Cv3 we get a few inches of head strikes EVERY time near the middle of the pass.
54" prints perfect all day.
Anyone got a fix for this?
Anyone have Oracal 3551RA wraps that have been on the street and some sort of track record of reliability? We're typically a 3MIJ180Cv3 shop here, but it would be nice to have a lower price step down price for short term cube vans and cargo van wraps. I assume everyone is keeping this stuff away...
We have a 2011 Silverado coming in from out of town with a huge Chevy emblem on the tailgate & it should go if we are to have space for our design.
Anyone know if it is bolted or just 2 sided tape?
Thanks!
Got the new Fellers catalog today & noticed a new product: Knifeless Tech Systems tape. Anyone try this stuff yet? At 50 cents a foot, I hope it would do miracles. Sure does look ideal for between truck bed/cab areas.
We are getting bizarre output from our Illustrator vector files (exported as EPS.) Seems to be block shaped gradients behind our drop shadows. Anyone have file output guidelines to avoid this?
We do mostly digital work (wraps & banners,) & use primarily Photoshop & illustrator for everything. RIP is done through Versaworks on our XC540.
Anyone find an advantage in using Flexi Pro in the process? I'm considering buying the software & am hoping for some input. We also have an old...
Anyone know of a good supplier for color-core type polyethene materials in the Northeast? It appears that Vycomm's polycarve material is no longer available.
What resolution do you XC540 owners print your wraps at? I'm considering upgrading from my Versacamm, but at 720x720dpi, it yeilds only a 30% increase in speed. According to the specs, it only prints rapidly at the lower resolutions.
Anyone heard of Zunaboard HDU? I have a vendor pushing it at approx 17% less cost than Signfoam 3. Tempting, since I'm preparing a PO for (10) 4x8x1.5" sheets. Samples are on the way- I'll post my thoughts upon receipt.
Signfoam Mfg suggests 200ipm. We've been progressively increasing feed rate with great results at even 400ipm. How fast are you all running? (15lb material.)
We got a new SP540V about a month ago. Ever since, we've been having problems printing cyan, whether a gradient or a 100% C fill- we get long & thin areas where the color density drops out regardless of what media or profile used. We just sold our SP300, which has the same ink system & had zero...
Is it worth the $179 to upgrade to X3 from version 11? I've been on the fence for a while & not sure if the new tools are a neccessity. Thanks in advance. Malcolm.
