its not the 24V rail.. that kicks in at 65%.. I just checked on my other printer..

I bought them all 100% tested.. to me most likely it is the part that trys to power up at 32%

I wonder if there is any chance how to find out WHAT is happening during the initialization proces.. the queue in which it checks and powers up with parts.. and see where it actually gets stuck.

I have had this error at 32%... Then replaced the PSU.. same replaced the 24V ex PSU.. same replaced the PrintMech... same...

but I have just replaced the PrintMech... and get the same error... those are on the printMech, right ?

when I shut off the printer after the error from the front panel it goes into standby.. Amber light on at the back.. Get a color sample from the client. Define it using my spectrophotometer.. and based on the reading print a sample.

WOW.. ultrasonic is a great new idea!.. so you put the whole head into the solution ?.. doenst do harm to the electronics I guess.. will give that a shot!

Hi Andrew.still around? Have you ever found a cure? I just bought an old l28500. Didn't power up at all. Replaced the PSU. And now have your exact same problem at 32perc after small fan kicks in. Anyone has an idea on that?

OK. You are missing the basic understanding of dpi or ppi. And all answers do not help you. Because we don't know how large you want to print the sign? You post the size is 100inches wide WHEN given 72 dpi. That means if you print it at that exact size THEN you will have 72 point available to...

Ah. I'm not quite sure and not at the printer right now. But I rather recall it is tilting forward to much..

My carriage is a tad too low and crashes slightly into the media edge holders. I know the l28500 is not supported anymore but I thought the mechanics might be the same on many design jets so maybe some one has an idea of what has worn so the carriage is a bit too low? Thnx
