18' Poly Sign

Did this 18' Poly sign yesterday and maneuvering it was a little tricky... I built a wood holder off the bucket for it to keep it from misbehaving up there...which the top, large panel did anyway.

Prob not. Lol

Did you have to get permits to place your lift? Years back we did a job requiring a scissor lift on the sidewalk for two hours. Holy Cow!!! Not only was there the sign permit, but we needed one from the building inspector, fire department and the police.
Everybody had their hand in the cookie jar.

I didn't wanna write this, as no one likes hearing this part, but I was surprised not to see pylons about and tape draped around to keep people back a certain distance.

looks like it was a handful.
almost could of used 2 lifts on either end

Yea, two would have been easier...if the panel was taller then 4 ft. I would have used two but we managed. Helped that the wind was CALM...and I mean CALM!

I did have the area below roped off with cones and caution tape... amazing how people will knowingly walk through it under a lift while screws and stuff are falling and they think it's OK. We did have most of the sidewalk open so they could have just walked around us...but you know... who wants to walk 10 feet out of the way.

Pretty laid back around here. City doesn't need permit to change faces... at lease this one. If I have to block city parking or sidewalks I call the police department and they never seem to care.
