No sealer.... Just 30 year exterior paints. Not the cheap stuff.

You're going to let that sign hang by chains?? Yikes. I would have some type of bracket at the bottom to keep it from swinging. Don't care for the colors but that's just me.

look closely.... no chains involved. Its braided 3/8" solid steel twisted into a rope and welded.
