Anyone else notice this........................ ??

I've been here for a little over 6 years and in that time, I've seen where the membership here was gonna put A V E R Y out of business, several distributors of supplies, UPS, FedEx and numerous other companies. Has any of this taken place, yet ??

Just wondering how much impact we really have as a group.... or is there a lota lip service ??

I would hope considering the size of our group that we have at least a little clout. I know I haven't purchased any Avery products for years. I won't buy anything HP and I'm switching all my cast vinyls to Oracal which I have been using for many years with no problems in calendered vinyl. Honestly I'm not too far from just retiring to my shop at home and making the occasional ornamental iron piece or two.

I think the impacts we make as a group are more internal. I had an Avery chart as their vinyl colors are really nice but never ordered any due to reports on how crappy it is from fellow members. there are other products I've tried and loved because of members and other products I didn't try because of what I heard here. we may not be able to shut down a major business but we've managed not to shut down our own due to product failures or a bad suppliers.
