I wouldn't use them as they are out of country. why on earth would you deal with them?

Their web page says they're mind readers- that would solve some language barrier issues. Unless they can only read your mind if you think in Thai.
I, too, am curious why you wouldn't look for a vendor closer to your location? Do these guys do something no one else does?

I think it is run out of Europe. Where do you think all TVs are made, Trenton?
And because I would like to try them on a small job and see how it goes. I have always used vendors in the USA, Was just curious if anyone used them from here.

There is a big difference on buying a tv made from another country and purchasing it here in the USA.You can return the tv to the store if it fails within reason but you cant return a tv to country. Its like buying something from a yard sale or flea market its yours to deal with.Unless someone can back them up saying they are good to work with then i wouldnt do it. Plus coming from over seas you may end up paying a huge import/export fee which i have seen sometimes ends up being half to full price of the item you are buying which would make it too expensive... And I have a local friend now that knows a lot about the lighting etc business and knows about the parts that come from most over seas areas, and from what he says the parts are not guaranteed to last no matter what they say online etc. they can offer a cheaper or better deal than the usa because they are using cheaper parts ...Most places over seas may offer a warranty but its usually like a 90 day or just enough to where the product will more than likely fail after the warranty..They test the items to see how long they actually may last and make the warranty period to just fail at or around that point so they wont be liable for the broken item and have to pay for the shipping and import.export fees and be out of money.Are you willing to gamble your money on a chance? .Does that make since?

Hello Johnny Best, every other stainless steel supplier like Gemini or Steel art have factories in China making them and ship them here. if you look at the packaging it comes from the orient. If you need help getting some stuff made out of stainless let me know. I have a local company that works with a factory in China and they helped us with this project and many others. It was approximately 800 aluminum fabricated letters and no way we could have done them in house.

I realize there is a difference on a purchase of a TV than direct dealing with an overseas company making letters and the problems of getting money back if there is a problem or replacement. Also high cost of shipping etc.
But: I do gamble my money on chances every week at the horse track and to me it does make sense.

I am interested in the polished stainless steel letters, not the electric side of the channel letters or cabinets.

I know with Gemini, the letters will come with a lifetime guarantee, regardless of what happens, other than catastrophes, but something from China..... good luck on that. I've seen many manufacturers letters delaminate and tarnish in no time. I've never seen this with anything we've done with Gemini, therefore, I can sleep well at night.

Bangkok, China, same difference. It's on the other side of the world and you have no control over a single thing going wrong. I'm not the one asking the questions here..... you are. We're all just giving you answers to your inquiries about dealing with unknowns on the other side of the world, when you can get the same thing, right here. Go ahead, go for cheap and contribute to the ever-growing number of people using inferior products.

Ya know, there was a time when you got nice little trinkets or toys from over there. Now, you want top end products from them ??

Big difference one place uses peanut flavor in everything they cook and the other place has orange beef and fried peppers/ onions with chicken with no peanut taste.
People felt like this years ago when Toyota first started to sell cars here, now they outlast the American car for years later.
I admit as a kid oriental toys did break down quickly but I have not purchase anything from these people but when I do will give feedback.

Ha...... don't really care about their diet or if they cook dogs and rats to look like chicken, but it gives a good indication about their products. When Datsun first showed up, it was considered junk, cause it was and all the other cheap imports were the same, other than the tested and tried European automobiles. The oriental stuff would rust away in a matter of a few years. They were constantly breaking down and parts couldn't be had in the States, due to the high demand of their breakdowns. The research wasn't done on their part. After 30 years of trying to get it right, they have greatly improved, but over here...... not over there. When they moved their companies here, they picked up our work ethics and implemented them into their setup.

Still wanna buy from 1/2 way around the world, from chop suey ??

Absolutey. Buy everything from overseas. Who cares about quality, reliability, service, your rep in the business? Save that dollar.

Why not shop for a US supply? Is your market price point really so low that no one locally can make these? In my area stainless channel letters are top shelf items. Shops fight for this work, but no one cuts prices below Gemini levels.

So either your market is so disturbing that premium work goes for plastic prices, or you're trying to grab the absolute most $ out of a job at any expense.

I dunno, but if I were buying signages, it's a sure thing that I'd want the Dutch management mentality for the crew that reads my mind about great looking signages.

And that is the difference between Thailand and China.. there's no plural in Chinese. Now to go have a dozen donut.

In all seriousness tho.. if it's a large order look into the cost of freight insurance, shipping, customs fees (metal products can have a high tariff), and never ever buy on any terms like INCO ex works, or fob manufacture, or without an escrow account or forwarding agent.

Unless you're experienced in imports you can get screwed.

I am glad you all are looking out for me and telling me about all the pitfalls of dealing Chinese. To bad you guys were not around to help Hudson on his quest to find a new route to Catway.
I will put it to rest and deal with it another time and save my dollars for something else made in America or Canada.

You could go by way of Mexico....... they're easier to deal with. They have product coming over the borders in sh!loads a day. You could haggle with them, cause they have a different culture from us.

Yeah, Hudson's own people saw to his early death for looking for Cathay. You want the same ??
