Banner for a parade... how to do?

I have a request for a banner for a parade. They are asking for one anywhere from 20 - 30 feet across. I figure a pole pocket at the top with a srries of aluminum poles that fit together, but they would definitely need 2 people at least to walk in the middle of the banner and that's where I am not sure how this works.... I wonder if they might get accidentally trip over the banner if they drag it too far to the ground?

Need input to get back to my client...

that is going to be really hard to carry. can they break it up into smaller banners like two 10' or three 10'. they could walk close so it reads OK depending on what it says. for all in one, maybe make 10' lengths or where beaks in words occur and then you'll have a "slit" running top to bottom which might make it easier to walk with.

What kind of parade route are they using where they would need a 20' or 30' banner? My shop is on a major 2-lane highway and it is only 25' wide. I can't imagine needing anything larger than 12' or 15', but that's just me.

20-30 feet is just someone pulling a figure outta their bum...

tell them what they need. a 10' banner with pole pocket, a piece of 10' conduit - with wooden dowels coming out of each end for handles.....

that is a MONSTER wide banner.

if it has to be that width, take "S" hooks, poke holes through the banner so the S hooks are pulling on the pole pocket rod. then use small hand grips to support the S hooks.
will need 2-3 people on the middle of the banner.

We've done a couple parade banners for the first entry to carry to kick off the event. It is 3'x17' and is usually carried by the local boy scout troupe. We've just made a standard banner with grommets every 2 feet and zip tied it to a piece of rigid pvc. They do have troupers in the middle for support.

I keep trying to convince them that this is the best way, even if you run 2 side by side

+1 20-30 feet is HUGE!!:omg: Either the lettering will be so big you could read it from the next county or there will be so much copy no one will read it all. A 10 -12 foot banner should be plenty big enough.
