Changing someone's look.

A good friend of mine who does both pinstriping and lawn care referred his good friend to me.
I'd seen this guy's trucks around forever and always disliked them.
He was real nice, and open to change.
The first pic is what he had.
I started off with a few font suggestions, and he chose the two he preferred.
Then I started playing with layout ideas, and he chose one I wasn't fond of but still preferred to what he had.
Then I started to suggest colors. He chose what he liked.
(this is about 4 emails in, he was very cut and dried)
I was still trying to push for something different, but he knew what he liked.
We were almost there, then he asked for a black outline, which I wasn't fond of.
But then it ended up looking not too bad.
I sold him the artwork, business cards, yard signs, and have since lettered 5 of his trucks.
Wish I could have a client like him once a week.
The last pic is what he has now.
Love....Jill

That first script will be a nice one, it just doesn't work with his particular name. It will only fit certain words, just like any other font. All fonts have a certain fit and feel when it comes to letter combination s and design formats.
