Maybe this will make other companies pump the breaks on implementing AI to replace their workers.
Doubtful. Especially if the companies have huge investment in what passes for AI. Have atleast one company mandating "AI" usage as apart of their employee's work. In fact, their efficiency assessments require it last I saw and understand what I was reading.

This is too "good" for them. Just like doubling the workforce and their consumer pool while being able to suppress wages due to increase worker supply. This is just the natural progression of that endeavour.

a good friend in our business is saving a fortune on royalties, using AI generated pictures,
many need a photoshop "brush stroke" filter to make them acceptable, but surprisingly good after processing

Royalty free artwork does it exist.

I have never seen one that didn't have some issues, if dealing with people in the picture, sometimes how they carry/hold a prop as well.

The lazy, the cheap, this is a boon for them. I have no illusion that this isn't here to stay in some form. Unfortunately, not all change is good. I'll just be another old curmudgeon yelling at the sky, but I know I can still animate by hand, can actually draw from my imagination and can still do so if the power goes out or the internet connection goes down and the others realize that they have to close for the day, because they can't get work done (reminds me a lot of like the days when internet was new, but uptime is still unstable, brave new world).
