Contour Cut Duh Moment

So, I added a contour cut to an image but for some reason beyond the stars I selected a segmented line, not a complete line. Of course when the cutter does it's thing it only cuts along the segments, not the entire circle as required.

Can this be modified or edited in PM? Or am I cutting the rest out by hand?

If you used crop marks/registration marks, in theory you could just drop a solid line over the segmented one, delete the segmented one and send it back through the cutter. It's possible it cuts through the backer though without vinyl in certain parts to cut through.

Here's a partial screenshot. As shown in the image the circle which was to be a full circle cutout is segmented.

Can this be edited in PM or am I toast?

Not a huge deal if this is blown as it's only 100 stickers, but possibly a trouble shooting & learning moment.

No crops used.

Technically you could still use trial and error to find the proper origin spot that will make it cut at the exact same spot but that will be very time consuming unless someone else has an easier way to do it.
I think I have to admit defeat and move on.

Now there is a transparency feature in PM but I have the HP version and I'm guessing that's why I don't have that feature.

if that is the only issue can you download flexi cloud & take advantage of the 7 or 10 day trial . you can certainly have multiple versions on the same pc

I'm curious to know which RIP is this. Versaworks 7, which we just added, has a perforated line feature and I'm afraid that I might activate it because it's not clear to me how not to. So far so good, but most everything we do is contour cut. I'm afraid to throw the wrong switch and ruin a batch of printing.

As far as fixing this job, if you have crop marks on the original, you could draw a thick circle with inner and outer contour cuts. Then, when you place your new circles you don't have to be quite so accurate in placing them around your existing circles. Of course the diameter will be slightly smaller.

Current version of HP Flexi. I keep telling myself to go to the non HP version , but get busy... I am curious though, why SAI can not or will not answer is why the versions are different? What is soo great that the HP has to have their own version that does not have the full features of the standard software?

Anyway, starting from scratch, just have to pay attention.

It's watered down because it comes free with the printer. Mutoh did the same thing until they made their own RIP. Full Flexi can run pretty much every machine on Earth.
