Question convert automotive paint code to cmyk value

a good friend wants us to make some magnetic signs for him
he wants to match dealer paint code (IEAR <ON THE DOOR PANEL>)
to a pantone color or CMYK COLOR

I suggested taking my spectratone book and seeing how close a match he can find

is there a database, or some way to convert?

and, no, i don't know what the vehicle is yet

Print out a PMS chart, Take the car color and match it to the PMS chart. Create .pdf with rgb and fill with PMS color, save and print your magnetics.
