Flexi sign exporting

Im trying to export business card files to my guy that is printing them for me. Question is how do I save the file when expoting it? This is what they say I need to do.

Can anyone give me the steps on how to do this, my way isnt working with them.

For any original document size, add .25in to your document size. Please remember that bleed rules apply to all document sizes. Here is an example of a business card document with and without bleed.

Just add a .125 outline to your artwork...

Can't read what you attached, but just like gmr55 said, make your background bigger. That way there will not be a border and text is still within the card.

I set my design central box to those sizes. Now when i export it in a jpeg, do i

my artwork is 2 in by 3.5in, the file size says 2.125 by 3.625

i go to export, then jpeg, surpress options is clicked.

Would that work? by what i did?

No artwork would need to include your bleed. Select your artwork. Click export. Choose "selection only." Export as a PDF.

im using an old version of flexi 6.5. i dont believe this has a pdf option?

Export as AI / EPS, open in Illustrator, export as PDF.

I do not have illustrator. I am looking to buy the program, what do you guys suggest. All im looking to do is use it for the pdf features. I see a few on ebay, does it matter what versions?
