import tif file and program closes?

It seems my Signlab 8 does this all the time with tif files...what's the deal with that?

Just for giggles did it in signlab here. ver 8 as well. no problem. If it persists and you need tech help, do not let their people take control of your machine. They will leave you in a total disaster. I paid for tech help to get a driver to put another printer on my system and it took me three weeks to undo the mess their idiot made.

So what do you suppose can be the prob? these files are usually coming out of Illustrator.

Send me your email, dave@flemingsignsandgraphics.com, I'll sned you the tiff that worked here. If it works at your end it might be an illy problem.

i noticed that importing tif files with gradients from another software causes signlab to choke.
Had to convert the file with gradients to a bitap to stabilize then tiff file..
