I've got a SP540i, Been using for years. Now throwing a service code 0110 VERY ODD!!

SP540i. Trying to turn the machine on, Instantly going into cleaning. the suction pump does not seem to be sucking on the cap top lines. But once its done cleaning it says service code 0110. then i shut off the power and it automaticly turns on by it self and starts cleaning mode again. i cant even get to the service menu. Any ideas?

Clean your encoder strip and the sensor on the cut carriage. You may also need to do an initialization setup

Cleaned both. still the same thing. i cant get to the initialization setup. it goes into cleaning more first and does it even when i shut the power off. it turns itself back on within 3 seconds??

XJ540 ... While in mid print today the printer stopped, beeped, and said "service call 0110" (Input value from Linear Encoder is not changed when the Linear Encoder is setting its origin. When Motor stops during printing, expected movement is not completed on some head.). None of the buttons...

If cleaning didn't work, replace the encoder scale and sensor. They can fail over time and they aren't expensive, so better to replace both then you know you are starting with working good parts
