Looking for a Roland Tech to check out my printer

I'm in south central Pennsylvania, I was out for a couple months and think I have a clogged print head, getting lines bad when printing blues and greens. Didn't know where to find someone to take a look at it, the company I bought from 3 years ago wants too much just to look at it

I can't help with a tech, but these printers aren't meant to sit for long periods not used. Was the power left on? If not, it would certainly be a nozzle clog, might be able to revive, but more then likely, you'll be looking at a new head(s). Which model is it? You could try a 48 hour head soak to see if it helps at all. What does your nozzle test look like?

I manually cleaned the heads and ran a powerful clean and the cyan has come back a little, makes me think it's just clogged. I did leave the machine power on while gone

A head soak might be your best option, to at least start with.

Looks like Wheeling is somewhat close to Pittsburgh? I'm about 2 hours east of Pitt

ok thank you. I know you clamp the lines, do I clamp the cyan and magenta? I think they both run through the same head. I soak for 2 days? Will the machine be ok for that long turned off?

Yes, you can top up the cleaning liquid after 24 hours. It will be fine as the head is soaking in cleaning liquid, keeping everything wet and should help break up any clogs.

Yes, exactly. Are you using TR2 inks? The reason I ask, is that it is a known fact that the TR2 Cyan ink is hard on the heads, which can lead to early replacement. Hopefully it will come out and start working for you. Our SG-300 wasn't as lucky.

yep TR2, ok I was able to clamp the line right below the heads and they are soaking. thank you very much
