Looking for help with service call 0109 or SP-300V

I am getting code 0109, but only when doing a 'powerful' cleaning. will do a regular or medium without issue.
Quick recent history:
Most of my inks drained out of my printer, it stared with just one colour, so I thought it was wicking out but then all but cyan drained out. Figured it was the ink pump, so I replaced the ink pump and the cap tops just incase. Unfortunately it sat for 10-15 days with no ink in those lines/heads.... I was hoping that running a few cleanings would get things flowing, but it didnt, so I pulled off the dampers and suctioned with a syringe and then tried to follow it with a cleaning... regular cleanings and medium cleanings work fine, but the powerful cleanings come up with the 0109 code. I think that has something to do with the wipers, but I wasn't sure if that might be happening because the heads are a bit dried up... can that cause it?
Should I do a head soak and see what happens? should I be replacing the wipers? Help! Thanks

You probably also hear a strange sound during cleaning?
With these old wiper systems, it's almost always hardened ink, that keeps the wiper from freely moving. (mostly on the wiper shaft)

The heads wont make any difference, but it could be your wiper motor is failing and the powerful cleans will show this more as it uses it more. If the wiper station was blocked it would give the same error on any cleaning setting. Just changing the wipers won't make a difference as the printer doesn't monitor these at all.
The other option would be the wiper sensor and it could just be coincidence the powerful clean is showing the error.
I have motors and sensors in stock if you need them

0109 wiper error. Take the wipers out and see if you still get the error.
In not, replace the wipers with genuine Roland wipers. The 3rd party ones are too thick and suck.
