Mottified Wraps

Hey all, I have been in the industry for about 9 years. I started with wrapping city busses and moved on to vehicle's, commercial and color change through the years. I have managed 3 other shops and worked at 5 total. I have finally taken the leap and started my own thing.. i have been part of this group before with the other places i have worked and loved all the help most try to give on here.
I have found that my ideal customer is commercial clients. doing commercial wraps and store fronts, signs and stickers.
I have the ability to outsource things i don't plan on making in house.

all this being said, I purchased a Roland VG3 printer, graphtec plotter and Santiam 63" laminator I'm all in and have to succeed. lol

However i am running into a problem trying to find a production table that will work for me and was hoping people could send me some ideas.
I would like it to be 5x8 or 5x10 because i work with a lot of 60" vinyl.

I am tossed between buying one or building one. I tried to search on here already before asking and didnt find a lot of help. maybe i was looking in the wrong place and if so it wasnt intentional. i know duplicate posts get annoying.,

If your willing to show me a cheaper route you may have gone in the beginning i would appreciate it. (building a top to shelves you bought, building one from ground up, or if you found something you purchased for under $800.00)

thank you for reading..

Welcome to the forum! +1 for commercial wraps.
There was a member here who built her own table, it was a pretty nice one. can't find that thread, but the member is Gnubler. She's not around any more though sadly.

we build our own using 4x4 for the upright posts, 2x4s for the upper and lower frames + cross braces, upper + lower frame has 5x10 MDF board for upper plate + lower plate (corners cut out for 4x4s), lower plate for under table storage. then we order a 5'x10' self healing matte for the top. oh and heavy duty castors attached to the bottom of the 4x4s, it's great.

I'll try and send you a pic once i'm back in the shop

Oh but i found a picture of another table i did at a previous shop. We had a narrow shop that we had to bring buses into so had limited workspace and had issues with table space, so i built a couple of these 'murphy' worktables that you just attach a hook to the end of the table, pull on the rope and it lifts the table up against the wall, and the two front legs are on hinges so they just fold down.

Locking casters are a bonus. Just consider the extra height when planning.h Sometimes the extra height is good for weeding though.

oh and the final height of the table is a touch lower than the exiting height of your laminator lower so you can feed sheets in to mask or laminate and to spit out.
