Well, he WAS drilling for some part. I usually leave my safety glasses on all day unless I'm working in the office

I found this sign shop online referencing the Gemini acrylic rails shown in the video, and they specify 3/16" x 1.5" x 72" pieces. I can make my own at the shop.

bet that clear acrylic will look like shlt on the outside of a building once the spiders take up shop behind it, especially if it is front lit. If it was going on PBR panel, I would be more inclined to use 1/8" aluminum flat bar instead of acrylic and paint it to match the building

Good point. So back to painting, what about painting the acrylic rails? What's more durable outdoors - painted aluminum or acrylic?

I never liked clear acrylic rails outside because it always ends of dirty looking.
