Yep. Mine was completed a couple weeks go. Looked like they replaced almost all of the internal components. You should be getting a second box as well, about 1/4" of the size of the pallet one.
I got 3 box in total. I've confirmed with the tech that I've received everything I need. I've got this before the holidays and still waiting for my appointment.

And oh yeah people. If your unit is older than 1 year from today, you should get your drive roller encoder replaced.
Any weird advance issues sort of like this, I can promise your encoder is scratched because it's seated in the wrong position.
Im assuming this is not covered under warranty? How can I tell if my printer has the Enhancement Kit V1? Ours was delivered in August of 2021. It is out of warranty.

They did cover it even out of warranty until end of 2023 but I'm not sure how it's in the US. Could be more limited now or not..
"manufactured prior to September 2022" but your serial number will tell for sure.
And it's up to HP to decide anyway, you got to have some problems to get it.

Hey mate, were currently having banding issues what ink density and passes are you running yours at for good results?
got ours in last week... still working through some teething issues (having issues w/ some of my usual stocks getting loaded in (and not binding up and causing headstrikes) and profiled) but seems like a good machine so far.

New firmware is out PLS_51_24_11.1. Recommending to update especially if you have had any connection issues.
Improvements to take-up as well and other fixes etc.

Well today HP dropped the new "improved" 730 and 830.
Rather interestingly they brought back double-sided printing. I guess because of competition though before they said it's not being used enough :help

Not sure if this is all but nothing major:
- Save media and avoid unnecessary waste by printing from the leading edge with the new output platen. (As in like 630)
- New maintenance cartridge that you can empty to run it longer
- Double sided printing
- Pixel control (remains to be seen if it improves quality with dual printheads)
- Universal printheads so you only need to stock 2 or 3

Hi all!

Just fully caught up on this thread since we are looking to upgrade our 360 and 365 HP latex printers. Wanted to ask if anyone has the newer 830W printers? Lots of issues with the earlier 800 models I guess. Hoping someone with access to the new models had any insight on those problems and HP's fixes. Also wanted to ask if there are any known problems with running ONYX with the new latex printers?

Thanks for any help!

Ok, just got our new 730W installed this week. From Northlight Color.
With my, as of today, limited knowledge and experience, I can comment on the following:
It puts out a chunky amount of heat, so in theory printing from the leading edge may be a recipe for crash. I don’t have the profile for the material I tested, Substance 2755, used generic adhesive vinyl. It got to hot, could see it bending on the right edge and afterwards crashed. Still too try other profiles.
They want you to use edge holders, had graduated out of those with my 365…
So, I don’t know if I’ll be able to go edge to edge as I had tricked the 365 to do (helpful with a material that only comes in 60” and my substrate is 5’.
The tech advised to be still move the material forward at least out of the heating module.
The machine is quite beefier, heavier, longer and wider than the 365. The loading and take up are nicely simplified and more convenient. The menu is more intuitive.
About d/s printing, hmmm, probably not any easier than with the 365, or even worse as the material gets so heated. But I haven’t tried so this is what we kind of figured with the tech.
There’s optimizer plus overcoat, just saying because I couldn’t really figure this exactly before.
What I got to print looked nice, good detail.
Will keep working on it, but would love to hear from other users of the 730/730W/800/830W.

Running Onyx Thrive v24, which is new to me, but seems identical to my old Postershop 12. Tried a print & cut that worked out fine.

Did you move the leading edge even a little forward after loading?
You must Not move it forward at all if you wish to print from pinches. Also move the edge holder all the way off if you print from pinches. Otherwise the edge might climb on top of it.
