Hey all, new here and wanted to post my second sign job as my own company. I used to do fabrication for a large exhibit company till covid hit and killed the trade shows. Had been making acrylic furniture on the side and went full time after being laid off. One of my clients asked if I could make him some signage for his new warehouse. The neighboring business saw it and asked me to design some signage for him based on his logo.
indoor sign 50” tall-1/2” MDF back, 1/4” black acrylic, 1/4” mirror acrylic, 1/2” 2447 white acrylic with brushed aluminum acm caps, Oracal vinyl, rgb strip lights behind 2447 diffuser
Outdoor sign 40” tall- 1/4” black and white acrylic with vinyl overlay
Used this job to justify buying a Roland vinyl cutter. Let me know what you think and what could be improved, criticism always welcomed!

Looks great! Can you tell me more about the diffuser? I'm very green with LED lighting like this and would love to know more about diffusers available for them.

Very nice, I hate to see such nice things come off a table with a porter-cable router! Not because its a bad setup, moreso that my 10x cost setup doesn't get nearly as cool requests. Here comes another set of helvetica letters...
Are you doing everything yourself, sales, design, fab, install? If so you are off to a stellar start.
Only nitpick could be the less than commercial grade led's, which I could be wrong but they appear to be cheaper consumer parts. Looks like you did your homework with the diffuser, that's a great halo going on with no hotspotting!
Yes, I’m a one man shop at the moment so I can’t take on everything. Would like to upgrade to an Avid cnc with a real spindle or at the very least upgrade my v-bearing linear motion components to profile linear bearings. They are just consumer grade rgb strips as I’m not familiar with higher end commercial offerings, do they make better rgb strips or just those module type for channel letters?

I just used 2447 white acrylic cut 5/8 wide mounted about 1” from the face of the leds, you can see it in one of the pics. I tested several thicknesses till I found one with no hotspots. On a lighter colored wall you would get a much better halo effect, black wall sucks up 80% of the light.
