currently have right at 6500 on one design machine.
Think I'm going to weed them down and store the unused one on the NAS, its too many and slows down the machine
hey Josh... took your advice and checked out Font Agent Pro.
downloaded the 30 day trial... loved it... and just bought Font Agent Pro Plus last night, which included 750 professional fonts.
been a Suitcase/Font Fusion user for 16 years... but you were right... i like Font Agent Pro MUCH better!
ya! If I remember, there are actually some clean fonts in that package.
I was a suitcase user too.. Love me FAPro! and I'm glad it was a good referral!
Once a font is moved to a NAS can all the fonts be activated on the NAS so the computer sees the fonts when designing but does not affect the performance of the machine?
It took me a few moments to get used to how Windows 7 installs True Type, Postscript Type 1 and Open Type fonts. One big plus: Win 7 can provide thumbnail views of typefaces that are not installed in the OS, regardless of whether the typeface is on the local hard disc, on an external drive or elsewhere on the network. That's pretty handy for certain collections, like the 2000 URW fonts I have from Canvas or certain 1000 font collections from CorelDRAW.
