My hard drive died. I restored on a new (old) hard drive and now the winplot macro has a runtime error. Does anybody still use this stuff? I set it up years ago and I can't remember how to do it again.

Reinstall "Cutter tools", or just save the cutfile in the graphic app and open in winplot.

did you restore a backup?
did you reinstall to an old hard drive with windows that was previously in a different;t computer?
you did not mention what windows version. “old”:is a description not a version.

PERFECT WORLD
format the replacement hard drive perform clean install of windows.
reinstall programs, restore your data.

what windows. Windows Xp? vista? Windows 7?

list what windows and what version of programs and we can see how to make a functional pc

for a windows run time error you need to install a Visual Basic runtime package.
please post a screen shot or just type the error vbrun200 or some such error

microsoft may have them still for download.

CAUTION many of the sites offering downloads have inserted Trojans, random ware or password stealers.
I am not trying to scare you, just be careful
