But he's gone. There's no sense in getting involved with nothingness. He doesn't exist to the majority of members here. So, fmg, was that supposed to be funny or dumb ??

Or are you jealous ??

OK, how about this analogy:

Signs 101 is Fred's Business. It's a large portion of how he makes his living and pays his bills (I think). How would you or any other shop owner like it if some of your friends or acquaintances came into your shop's lobby and started talking about porn, showing explicit pictures and swearing loudly all the time, while you are trying to make a sales pitch to several customers? Would you ask them to keep it quiet and under control? What if they refused to exercise any self-control? Would you just let them go on and on because of freedom of speech or would you eventually just throw them out. My guess is you wouldn't put up with it NEARLY as long as Fred has. And you wouldn't think of it as any kind of "censorship" at all but more like taking out the trash.

Spot on! :goodpost:

Pretty poor comparison Pat! I think you need to get over it. We are supposedly all adults.
When we go to Australia next winter I want to go ahead and go on the record as saying I know nothing about that poop somebody took right outside your front door.

Art! Hot and fresh.
you cannot censor art in any form.

I love this line ... Censoring art is removing and editing parts for the viewing considerations of all. from what I read they just removed it for questionable material. Get over yourself on that one, draw some more and post it in the appropriate place.

Years ago I made a Hitler series of work in college ... bunch of paintings of Hitler in various situations ... hitler as a little girl beauty pagent contestant, hitler the clown, hitler the easter bunny, hitler hall monitor, etc ... needless to say, I got a lot of "censorship" as you put it ... if you want to call it art ... you need to accept someones perception of that work. Good or bad, you put your work out there ... someone might not like it, some might deem it not apropriate and some just might not want it on their site.

Basically ... man up.

Referencing the sixties explains a lot.

John leaving will make some puppies sad, but there are other forums to post material which may be considered offensive.
Forums which aren't searchable by Google.
I know there have been plenty of times I've typed something up which I found funny, considered for a moment, then chose not to press the submit button.

Wouldn't it be nice if everyone on this forum acted so grown up the moderators were bored to tears, Fred & his gang have been more than generous to everyone on this site, If you have been censored for something I suggest you man up, apologize, & try to do better in the future, if that isn't something you could do, then get mad & quit, see ya!

By the way, thanks for all your hard work & dedication Fred & also to all the moderators who make this all work, this place has been & always will be awesome!

I remember writing a word on signs 101 and it was edited. I was really pissed, cause I even showed the admin where others had used the same word and it was deemed ok, but not in my particular case, oh well. I got over it.

If you think this place is worthwhile, you will overlook when your toes get stepped on.

John, come back, you are well enough liked. Sometimes it is good to know that there are rules so you can see where you can and cannot bend them.

I guess what we are all saying is, come back to the picnic, but don't bring any corn. Thanks!

I swear the one friday that I'm really busy and people are having tantrums and running away from the forum. Is this what happens when I'm not here to spread sunshine into everyone's life? I just can't leave y'all alone any more.
