Shortcut for cents symbol on a pc?

I am looking for a shorcut to make the cents sign in ai. On the mac it's option 8. I am now using a pc and can't seem to find the $ for cents and I'm tired of using the lower case c and stickin in a line when I know there's gotta be a shortcut.

Yup. but you have to have the number lock ON, and use the number key pad. It worked, just like the link on the above reply stated.

Glyphs Pallette in everything (besides photoshop?!?!?!) has all the charactors available in the font currently in use.
