T1400 Pro - serial to usb connection

Hello together,

I'm new here and happy to have found this forum.

I got a summa t1400 pro with opus sensor and the plotter is running via LPT cable for now. Im trying to get it run via serial to usb, so i can use it with my notebook with windows 11.

What i found out, i need a serial cable with the following connections:

FTDI Cable (PC Side) -> Cutter / Plotter Side

Pin 2 (RxD) -> Pin 3 (TxD)
Pin 3 (TxD) -> Pin 2 (RxD)
Pin 5 (GND) -> Pin 5 (GND)
Pin 7 (RTS) -> Pin 8 (CTS)
Pin 8 (CTS) -> Pin 4 (DTR) or Pin 7 (RTS)

I have to use the following com port configuration:

The default settings of the cutter are as follows:

Baud Rate : 9600
Data Bits : 8
Parity : None
Stop Bits : 2
Flow Control : Hardware or XON/XOFF

I configures this for the com port (windows hardware configuration) and in the configuration for the plotter in winplot.

First i bought a cheap FTDI adapter from amazon, but i got only data errors at the plotter. Now i ordered the summa recommended UC232R “ChiPi” Minimum Component FT232RL USB to RS232 Converter Cable.

Have someone get this running (serial to USB connection)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

THX & BR,
Sascha
