Thoughts on what's causing this?

We run a Valuejet 1204 and have started to get this problem, I think it may be called "cockling" or something like that, thought it would be from the heat settings set too high, the heat is set on recommended settings so I bumped everything down 5 degrees and we were still getting the problem. Any thoughts on other things that could be causing it? Thanks for your time.

It looks like vinyl.

Do you have enough slack down the back ??
Do you have enough rollers on the media ??
The season is changing quickly and the temps in the shop might be varying.... are you compensating for that ??

Looks like a material issue.
What type of material is that, static cling?
What temps are you running?
You can get away with turning the pre-heater down pretty low and keep the platen & post at the normal setting.

We had similar issues with a certain roll of vinyl last year and no matter how much you turned the heaters down (or even off) it appeared.
Their is not enough adhesive on the vinyl to keep it on the backing sheet.
Phone your supplier and return or replace the roll.
