I am currently using wit-color eco-solvent printer. In most of the prints there is an equal white margins left on both the side. Is there any attachment or custom solution that can trim the white portion while printing. My printer is not print and cut. Please help

we used to attach razor knifes to the printer to trim as we printed. This doesn’t always work well though as the media may curl. Most people trying to do this do it on a laminator after the media has out gassed / dried for a while.

pushing media through a blade just sounds like a recipe for buckling.

sounds like a job for a blade-collar on the takeup core? like a circularsaw-style collar full of Xacto blades that cuts as it winds?

Many printers have slitters. You can 3D print a holder for a blade and attach it as you wish. But you must collect it on the take-up otherwise it's not going to work.

I guess, we have to attach a circular blade on the take-up pro system. But I am not sure how that will work as both the trimmed media and the printed media has to be rolled up so that it does not loose strength needed for the blade to work.

Any pointers for the slitting system. I searched on web but they are a separate system like xy cutters

there is no inline slitters for any printer that I am aware of. Fotobo has an xy cutter but if you do anything rigid or plan on cutting anything rigid you should just get a router that is belt driven.

We hang two light employees with cacti knives and they cut material as it feeds. They are only good for an hour because the blood rushes to their heads.
Can you suggest me any automated system that can hang employees every day and unhang them when the work is done.

Just above you I show two different systems :help
One Mimaki, one HP.

Also some laminator manufacturers make very simple systems. Just extruded aluminium, blade holder with blades pushing down. Channel under the material so blade will push through.

Thanks for the image and video. I finally get an idea on how to mount it. I now need blade holder and mounting system. HP latex in-line slitter is a costly affair, I am hopeful some customizable solution may achieve this with low cost.
