urethane clearcoats rock!

heres proof that a clear coated sign can last several years. This was a sign siliconed to a rock for the dog. The gold is actually "fake leaf" imitation gold clearcoated, the black was actually satin rust-o-leum, back in 03. I buffed it out this weekend because it does face straight up and gets all elements all year round. vinyl hasnt lifted nor has clearcoat peeled. the only damage has been from limbs falling on it.

Still looks great. Is that an automotive urethane? We use Valspar AC4400 on motorcycles. Dries like granite.

I too can attest to automotive urethane clear coats. Have used it on my more expensive signs over the years and it's remarkable how well they hold up, especially from UV.
