I think some people dislike him, and think his policies are so bad that they don't think he knows what hes doing.
I never watch media - sometimes I see snippets of his speeches, but I always view them as snippets and go watch the whole thing so I have the whole story, not some news crap.
I personally don't think he's dumb, I just think he's in a job he should not be doing - if I got hired as the ceo/CFO of an airline company, I'm sure id run it into the ground.... I'm not an airline CEO, and while I feel like I have ideas that could make them more profitable.... Im sure if I forced those ideas, the company would be ruined. Trump is the same - he's not a president, he's not even a politician, he doesn't know how to run a company. He's a media / real estate mogul - he doesn't know how to be political, and it's at best causing a huge divide between Republican / Democrats, and at worst destroying the country. There's been a divide for awhile, but it's the worst it's ever been because he tends to fuel the flames... If he doesn't get his way, he has a fit and runs a bus through everyone in that way - and while some of that's deserved, most of it isn't.
Look at Iran - he rushed into it without consulting any other country, now oil prices have gone so far up... He's removing the sanctions on the country he's bombing to try and get gas costs to go down before it causes even more havoc. So now the Iran oil that's worth a buttload more than it was before we bombed them is going for sale... and we're pretty much funding the country were at war with. And what did we accomplish? We killed one bad leader so his equally bad son could take over, and seek even more vengeance.
I agree with A LOT of what trump wants to do in principle, just not the way he goes about it. Iran was terrible... The regime needs to go, I could care less if every single person in that regime who has enabled thousands of civilians to die, ends up hanged on the side of the street - but the way trump handled it has made the situation worst for the Iranian people, and the rest of the world. He hires his buddy's or loyalists to positions they don't deserve to be in, and are not qualified to be in - Pete Hegsworth is bad... Kristi noem is bad.... Kash Patel is bad, neither are qualified to be in their positions... And they're just yes men. A leader needs someone to explain to them when they're doing something wrong, or when their idea isn't the best. not to step into the road with them when they're about to get hit by a car.
The simple act that he tariffed every country, said USA needs nothing from them.... Bombed a country, then asked for help opening the straight... Only to say the next day everyone is chicken and he doesn't need anyone's help to open it.. only to ask for help again the following day, and say a lot of countries are already saying they want to help.... Only to come back the next day and say NATO is ungrateful and no one will help.... That alone makes him look incompetent. How much flip flopping can you do? How can you insult your alies on one day, aks for help on another... Then go back to insulting them?
Sooo don't assume everyone is against him because of what they read on the news or are told. Just like every president, trump has his own flaws... And some of those flaws are why people dislike him and wish he wasnt president. I dislike him because I think he's bad for America, even without his policies, the simple fact that he's president is causing a huge divide... Whether it's his fault or the left's fault, that's up for debate. But if he were t president....I feel like we'd be better off. Not saying we'd be better if it were Hilary or Kamala, or Biden... But if either of those 3 were in office, I'd likelly have just as many complaints about them as trump. You will have diehards on both sides... Some Democrats will hate him no matter what, and some Republicans will stand by him until they die no matter what - it's nothing new, every president has people like that.
I see some from both parties in this thread...
