Veterans Day

For Veterans Day (and my dad's 87th bday) I thought I'd show this 1/17th scale model a buddy of mine made for my father. This is what he was in for Operation Varsity, the crossing of the Rhine invading Germany. He was a 17th Airborne medic. We just had lunch with a friend of his who piloted these things thru 5 combat drops including Dday, Market Garden, the Bulge and Operation Varsity.
