I'm getting little irregular white dots in my prints...Tried different media, different files, cleanings..problem still persists. Seems worse with black.

I've been getting these two warnings lately:
Life Times [Pnmp]
Life Times [PF Motor]

Has something finally gone bad?

What does your nozzle check look like?
What type of ink are you running?

Nozzle check fine...no gaps. Running Mutoh-branded EcoSol Ultra. At first I thought it might be defective vinyl (3M IJ35-20) so I changed rolls..dots remain. Again, seems worse in black areas. Bad ink cart?

Did you put in a different roll of the same stuff? I recently had 3 rolls from a bad lot batch that did the same thing.

Yep..same vinyl. The same roll prints fine on my Roland.

See what you can see with a scope or magnifier.

Is is a void.
Or a white area with a dark center.

You might also clean a piece of the media with alcohol and let it dry.
White spots are usually specs of dust or the first signs of plasticizer migration.

Higher temps may help and more ink may help...could be why it doesnt show up on another printer.

How big are the white dots?

.....remarkably, the problem seems to have fixed itself. (?????) Anyway, they are/were fuzzy white dots..Like stars. Bad vinyl. I'm guessing the different ink profile on the Roland caused the dots to be absent. All seems well on the Mutoh now. Curious.

I recently had 2 rolls of Oracal vinyl that had contamination on them. The second was actually a replacement for the first, but since they were from the same batch they both showed the exact same issue.

*I figured out it was bad material by plugging in another roll of vinyl that I had printed on the day before which again showed no problems.
