Can any one recommend a good wholesaler for a coffee mug with handle - I need a 2 color logo printed onto it.

I'm not trying to waste anyone's time....I'm sorry that my post inconvenienced you.

I merely was trying to ask if anyone has any recommendations. I don't want to just pick a random printer that I know nothing about.

Has nothing to do with wasting time. You need to do your own research and take your chances.

Case in point. I came here looking for recommendations for a very specific type of sign panel.
Prior to that I had done my research but wanted to hear form folks that regularly use that type of product.
I went with the company that several forums members practically raved about.

Turned out to be one of the absolute worst experiences I've ever had in over 30 years in business.
That highly recommended company single handedly managed to redefine horrific customer service and brought lying to a new art form.
Lie after lie on top of delays and BS excuses.
Icing on the cake was they delivered the panels and one had a flaw.
Awesome way to impress one of my biggest clients on a job that was also months late.

Takeaway: Be very careful who you ask for recommendations and whom you chose to work with.

I remember you sharing that experience before.

I remember you sharing that experience before.
When I delivered the panels I told my client that in my eyes said company has ceased to exist. Also presented them with a $200 refund for the flaw. Fortunately getting the refund wasn't a battle with the sub contrator.

With that in mind, the entire forum should be replaced with a link to google.
But way to hijack the thread of a simple request for positive experiences with a vendor to be about you and your unrelated bad experience.

My post wasn't a hijack was completely relevant. You're not grasping the concept of relevance, or being careful when you ask for advice or a recommendation.
In the time it takes to join and ask a question you can come up with hundreds of solutions.
Are they good? Don't know that's why you have to take it upon yourself to vet the source.

It's called due diligence something I didn't do in this instance and got burned.
My post was altruistic in nature, trying to help others avoid the same thing

But according to your post I should be obligated to answer every basic question from anyone just because they are too lazy to do the their own research.
Not gonna happen so get used to it.

Some background before you try to call me out again:
I am from an era way before the internet. One where you had to actually do legwork, research and experimentation to find solutions to issues.
An era where people learned by "paying their dues" not scouring the internet for an easy fix.
The web has unfortunately given rise to a new form of laziness. It is pervasive and shows in every facet of life.

well if that isn't the most pessimistic viewpoint i've ever heard......

the whole "back in my day" crap is BS. we don't live there anymore. it's time to change with the times and we are in a time where people from all over the world are able to discuss and share information. why should anyone spend hours and hours and hours vetting possible suppliers when they can come to a forum full of (we hope) professionals and ask for vendor recommendations? that's the whole point of this place. to SHARE information with each other to hopefully make our lives and work easier.

instead of searching google for "coffee mug wholesale vendors," doesn't it make sense to come to a forum of specialists to get a narrowed down list of possible vendors and then vet those? it's not laziness, it's quite the opposite. my time is worth money and i'd prefer not to waste it researching all day. work smarter, not harder.

NOW, if the person seeking advice doesn't do their due diligence and check out the options put before them, that's on them. i would never take someone's recommendation as set in stone. because we DO have the internet and the ability to check out vendors.

that said, i would recommend Imagen Brands for the mugs. They used to be Crown Products. Their quality is amazing and their customer service is pretty great. it was better as crown, but imagen isn't horrible. i buy a gross of single color printed mugs from them every year for a bed & breakfast client.

How did you pull pessimism out of factual statements? Just because what I know to be the truth runs counter to your ideology?
Or do you live in some bubble with perfect employees, stellar customer service no matter where you go, orders arrive on time and in usable condition and nothing ever goes wrong?

Suffice to say you have your opinion I have mine.
And the "back in my day" statement isn't BS. It's the absolute truth.
Times have changed but this immutable fact remains: No matter what you are doing you still have to put in the time.

And just because we're supposedly all "professionals" doesn't mean we immune from making mistakes.
This means I wouldn't trust your recommendation just because you said so.
You buy from this place once a year. That's not a glowing endorsement.
You even admitted the customer service isn't what it used to be.
See where this is going?

If I'm still around in 20 years we'll revisit this and compare your attitude and perceptions to this post. Just sayin'...

Quite frankly, I don't wanna p!ss either of you off, but I need to put something out there, that might be lost in the comprehension on both sides.

While "back in my day" is a saying, it is just that..... a saying, but a very true saying. However, how far back do we go ?? Before printers, cutters, computers, air brushes, electric lights, machine made screws or nails ?? There's always been a.... 'back in my day' kinda person. Heck what did Fred Flintstone read his daily Bedrock news on ?? But...... then the idea of using new ideas is great, but it really helps to know the basics and I just don't mean how to hand letter with a brush or blow neon, but how to look things up for yourself or do something without the use of a computer. Making things from scratch, but that trickles down to how you gather your information, too. Sure, we don't need to go to the library and look something up in an encyclopedia, we do it on the internet, but when someone doesn't have a clue, which has become very evident around this place, it's just downright stupid to be giving out good information to lousy business people. I'm not saying this OP was lousy, but there are so many lazy-a$$ people on this forum and all around us. It's just happening too much to be a coincidence anymore.

Well, I must go. Will add more, later.

Was in no way suggesting that you answer every basic question posted. In fact, since you had no information on the subject, why bother replying at all?
IMHO, the whole purpose of this forum is to exchange knowledge and experience with others in our field.

If google is your idea of legwork and your insinuation that someone posting a question in here is lazy has me wondering why you'd even participate in a forum such as this.
