Window Perf Residue - Best Removal?

Have a customer who wants us to redo all of his window perf - old perf was on windows that got full sun for over 10 years. Needless to say, removing the old perf was super difficult as it seemed that the sun baked the perf. Came off in small pieces, etc

Now that all old perf is off, there appears to be adhesive residue and you can even make out some of the lettering that was removed. I need this removed before installing new perf - what product(s) do y'all recommend?

Rapid Remover, except you can no longer purchase in California. So dumb!

Gavin has tried hard to remove EVERY PRODUCT that is actually effective

next time use a heavy duty metal scraper on the dry perf itself, one with at least a 4 inch blade, not the little razor holder. you need to press hard and take it off in strips,. Then hit the leftover glue with rapid remover, let it soak in for a minute so it does the work, then same scraper takes it off easy.

I have removed perf film and was surprised that we actually got the glue residue off with simply the soap and water solution for application. Use the flat 4" blades and it comes off quite easily...I was shocked

but all perf is not created equal. and glass is not always "glass".

you know i am quick to reach for the acetone. this can cause trouble

Isopropyl? that's what we usually use for most adhesive removal. If the ghosting is embedded in the glass, that is odd and wouldn't know where to go from there.
