Hello Everyone,
Our new project has arrived and we are excited to share another build. This one will be headed right onto our production floor as soon as it's done.
I have seen this happen when the cure power started to diminish. Have you checked to make sure all the LED's are firing and that there isn't an abundance of ink accumulation? Any damage to the UV lens etc? I saw this once with similar characteristics and when we loaded new ink it did not solve...
I don't have much feedback but the STX "direct replacement" inks for the UJF Mimaki 6042/3042 have killed numerous of our printheads. I will never put that junk in our machines again.
Well this printer's resurrection has been a very fun process. We have been utilizing this machine for the last 8 months running some small jobs here and there. It is time to sell this bad boy to make way for our next build project. Stay tuned for another build thread in the coming weeks.
Is your wiper the blue squeegee style or the grey style? I usually attribute contamination to a poorly performing wiper. If it is a blue wiper the wiper position may be too high and it is smearing the ink across the head. If a grey old style wiper then perhaps the wiper is not square to the head...
Great sales guys but for tech support in your area look into Innovative Digital Systems.
They print in house with a fleet of Mimaki printers every day. Located close to you in Charlotte NC.
