Take a look at the CETs while you're at it...very user friendly and good customer service. We have an Xpress500 and love it so far (had it for 2-3 years now). Hope this helps!
We print on wood with our flatbed all the time. Actually, it looks like that exact same wood that we print on for a company that does wall art for target and other retailers.
You guys are awesome I got it... I just wanted to make sure i was in the right direction. I can hit red on the Mutoh all day but on our CET Flatbed I have always struggled. I finally had some down time today and got it figured out. Pat I am running Onyx 10 with Nazdar inks if that helps at...
Okay so I have been struggling with this for too long now and need some advice. Does anyone printing with a CET machine have a good solid Christmas Red cmyk mix that works well for them? Obviously, I understand that machines and profiles and everything is different but I am just at trial and...
Ill give a positive shout out to Signvox. Been using it for 2-3 years now and has evolved the organization of our business. Some things we don't use but overall it keeps everybody on the same page and aware. If you want something specifically tailored to YOUR business you'll pay a ton of...
Least of my worries (for our shop that is)...usually print directly to substrate anyhow. Become a good vinyl/signs installer and you'd have my business. Wall murals, vehicle wraps, signs installation....etc. Thats my opinion anyways.
I like it the way it is....You can see the Apple Pies just fine and I like the subtle sold here. If I saw a Sign that said Apple Pies I would already assume they are for sale. Looks better than a lot files we get from "designers". Good Work.
Gotcha...the only other thing I could think of would be to turn up your lamp power? I had to do this to compensate for my lamps starting to wear out. Good luck I hope you get it figured out!
I use XPT to cut and occasionally I use it to design. It is very user friendly. I have no background in design, so I only use it for quick layout or stuff for friends and its definitely easier than illustrator or photoshop in my opinion. I like it for those things but we do not use it as a...
We did this once when we had to put logos on apple crates for our local apple festival. Looked awesome, just like it was painted. With a little heat, it stuck better than any other material we tried.
Reading Jill's post kind of solidifies my belief in the uncertain future of the sign industry. I am only 27 years old and I came into this business 3 years ago. It is my dads company and it has been in business for 14 years now. The ups and downs have taken its toll on his mind and health...
Cant you reverse cut it and apply it on the inside? I just did an install recently in around 40 degree weather. Reverse cut and applied on the inside of the store and it looked great. Just a thought....
