Just to throw it out there...we run a CET500 and I print on glass all the time but they are only samples that a company does not put to use (other than to show Target). Thank God, because I still have not found a way to print on glass and not be able to just simply scrape it off with my...
We were having some issues with our takeup on our Mutoh VJ1624. We were getting head strikes at the end of long runs. Chris and his assistant came in today and fixed us up in no time! Just wanted to give a shout out for the great service and quick response. Thanks guys!
We use sericol for better adhesion...also a double hit of ink with the black to make increase the density of ink allowing no transparancy. Hope this might help!
We have had similar problems with our machine. I am not familiar with your machine but what I did was take the rollers out and let them soak over night in alcohol (99%...you can water it down a little). Then wipe them off with a soft cloth and put them back in. Also, heat plays a little bit...
That is just the example of the file that is not where the sign is going... this is going to be an indoor standoff sign out of brushed aluminum. He wants some parts lit up white and some red.
Okay so my friend wants a standoff sign about 6' wide by maybe 2.5-3' high out of brushed aluminum.... What I will do is get his logo and company name router cut out of the brushed aluminum from a buddy of mine with a router. This is no problem, but here is where I do not have much experience...
Hey Artbot,
This might not be helpful but you might want to try turning the voltage up in your black ink. we have had similar type problems and it seemed that the solution was to turn up the voltage a little. Is the black just printing in a big haze?
We have been with CET from the beginning... We had their 5th printer made. I can say today I am very happy with CET and their service. They have come a really long way! Don't get me wrong they have always been more than willing to help but i think they grew more than expected and faster than...
I like what you said Gino...some people just don't have that personality though to be confrontational. I say this because this is how my dad is...me on the other hand I get fired up sometimes when people are showing up late and doing bad work. I get fired up because I am the guy who cleans up...
I just recently did a job like this and used our thicker matte laminate and it actually turned out looking really good and it was pretty easy to work with. Try it sometime the people we did the job for loved it.
My laminator does the same thing so I have been just mounting by hand on the real skinny pieces. One thing you could do though is try to calibrate it. I adjust the pressure on each side so they are even; then line my material up in the center of the rollers. Then, i draw a line with pencil on...
So we have been working with Graphics Resource Systems and someone else is having the same problem and they think it is a problem with the rollers coming from the factory. They are sending new rollers for us to put on and try tomorrow so we will see?? Thanks for all the suggestions on here...
Okay so we just got this printer maybe about a month ago and it was going really well until the last 3 weeks. We have been having trouble with the rollers making marks in the media. We only put the rollers down one click like you are supposed and we have tried: Turning the heat down, putting...
Good Luck! We just got rid of one...If they do not know the at least some of the business and materials do not hire that is my suggestion. We hired a woman who knew just about everyone in this area because she used to work at a local newspaper and sold ads for years and she couldn't sell our...
