A few years back I did some day/night letters with colored perf. I don't remember though who the manufacturer was though...I think it was Arlon (I google searched and found it). However, this is cut vinyl and therefore does not have the black backing. If this is going to be for window prints...
+1 I would tweak the "sign panel" a little bit. To me something looks off with the placement of the copy and numbers. I might bold the numbers a little bit more and maybe tighten the spacing between celebrating/50/years.
Not sure what the issue is. Just about all of the high performance cast films are 2mil and almost like a coat of paint. If you want to beef it up maybe a thicker laminate would be the way to go. I personally haven't done any boat wraps so I don't fully know the extent of the curves but Convex...
I saw Larry and Mo.....Curly was smart and stayed off camera. I think Larry, or was it Mo, brought on some of the client questioning by not trimming at the shop. It's sooo much easier to trim at the shop on a table.
I'm not an engineer, I sometimes play one, but I personally wouldn't want to build or hang a cabinet sign built with VHB tape. My fear would be over time a worry of adhesion failure due to condensation/moisture, not to mention winds and other elements. If the VHB tape was backed up with some...
1/8" aluminum rolled to shape and painted MAP Brushed Aluminum. Stud welded on the back and installed. The studs can be placed 3" in from the ends and there's no worries about the rigidity of the panel cause 1/8" is going to be beefy enough. Pattern your stud holes on the wall, pre-drill...
I ordered a roll of static cling and have been reading that cling has a short shelf life. So, I wanted to see what the lot date might be but I'm not sure if I'm deciphering it correctly. The lot number is 000431282-912. Am I guessing right that this roll was manufactured in September of 2012...
I recently did (20) 4x8 MDO panels mounted to an existing barricade. The client actually wanted to vinyl direct to osb but economically, as well as comfort about lasting, it made more sense to pre-mount to a substrate and then attach to the barricade. Since I was uncertain how the walls were...
Graphtec makes good cutters as well. There's a lot of hype for the Summa's but I don't think you can go wrong with a Graphtec either. I have a FC7000-75 that's been cutting strong for 5 years. I'll sell it to you so I can upgrade to the 54"
Thanks Nuage.....yeah, it's probably in the near future and would be nice to have. Got a project coming up that will be rolls and rolls of 150' prints....full speed on the laminator would be nice.
Wondering who's using a rear take-up reel for a Royal Sovereign and thoughts on it. I do a fair amount of prints 10' and longer (most are about 25'.....that's also my comfort level with getting the prints through without any major tracking or sometimes "crease" issues.) Currently, I send the...
I would say the acm panels would be fine and to keep them as flat as possible to the trailer. I wouldn't suggest spacing off at all as that'll give those room for wind lift. The seams aren't going to affect the appearance of the acm panels. I would either pop-rivet or screw them on.....make...
