I've been playing with Phototex sample roll and like how its coming out with my SP300. I see that you can buy Phototex in sheets 11 x 17". What printer / cutter can you work with this size sheets? Some things I want to print and cut would fit on a sheet and if I can free up the wide format...

Looks sleek and $$$. But will it only work with Summa line? That's what I'm trying to determine. Guess I'll call vendor tomorrow. I thought many here use separate printers to plotters so they would know if plotters could read other printer's files. Still new trying to figure this stuff out.

That's what I was wondering if the plotters read files from different manufacturers or only their own. I hope to get a larger plotter for down the road when I have a larger printer so I'm not so limited in future.

I want to get a 4' x 8' cutting mat for my table but see there are two different types. One with a grid and one without. What do most of you use? The gridded is substantially more - about 65% more in price - so want to know if it's worth the extra $$. Thanks!

My supplier no longer carries the cutting system from Image Edge. It's very simple - cutting blade goes into a track and you have a straight edge built in. Similar to using a metal ruler and exacto knife but easier to keep cut on 'track'. This is around $100 or less while the one they replaced...

I'm finding it's the 180cv3 that has a really strong odour. The smell is really smelly compared to other vinyl I've tried. Am I only one who's noticed?

Caleb, how are you cutting the photo tex? Such a small cut AND in a circle seems like it would be hard to cut. I ask because as I'm reading up on photo tex in this forum and most seem to have difficulty cutting it - pulling, fraying etc. Any tips you can pass on? I'm waiting for my photo tex...
